delivered through Braveshell
Liquid cooling, explained on a touchscreen in the time it takes to walk past.
A touchscreen installation for CoolIT Systems' trade show stand, delivered through Braveshell, that lets visitors explore a liquid-cooled data centre rack, its coolant distribution units and coolants with their fingers.
The brief
CoolIT makes liquid cooling for data centres, and the product is hard to appreciate from a rack on a stand. They needed a touchscreen that lets a visitor explore the system themselves, survives a week of show floor use, and works whether or not someone from sales is free.
What we built
- 01
A touchscreen application for large displays with a 3D rack the visitor can open up, from the cold plates on the servers through to the coolant distribution units feeding them.
- 02
Cards for each part of the system, coolants, CDUs and the rack itself, plus a product catalogue, so a visitor drills into what they care about and skips the rest.
- 03
Built to run unattended all day: boots straight into the experience, big targets, a home button on every screen and a reset when someone walks away.
What it does now
The stand explains itself. Visitors explore the cooling system on the screen, and the team spends its time on the conversations that follow.
